Renovation of the City of Burlington Animal Shelter. This renovation included the reception area and new accessible washroom. The use natural looking materials such stone and wood siding along with neutral earthy paint colors gives this project a “nature” feel. Pierre Urban Architects has received several complements from the public as well as from City’s staff.

The original Mainway Recreation Centre canopy and entrance needed improvement. Pierre Urban Architects was retained by the City of Burlington to design a new canopy for that building as well as to enhance overall entrance area. The Client desire was to modernize the building curb appeal. We came up with an eye-catching design that really transformed the overall building appearance.

Project Description

Burlington Nelson  Arena addition  and complete façade redesign. After we designed,  additionwhich consisted in more change rooms and washrooms, the  City wanted to enhance the building entrance. New glazing and sliding doors increased the area of the vestibule and modernized the overall building appearance. This building was designed by Pierre while working at ATA Architects.

Renovation of the police staff washrooms at the Halton Region headquarters building. Accessibility and maintenance were the main concerns of the Client. We covered all the walls and floors with vinyl product that is very durable, easy to clean and to maintain. The new wall panel colours match the corporate colour of the Halton Region which gives the washroom an identity of being part of rest of the building. Halton Region is happy with its new aesthetically pleasing washroom.
