Project Description

Modern custom house in Oakville. Different levels on this facade were used to achieve maximum building area on this irregular shaped lot. The use of large glazed windows in combination with stone and wood siding gives this house a pleasant and contemporary look. This house is also next door to a heritage home that was recently renovated by Pierre Urban Architects. The contemporary design of this house is not actually detrimental to the heritage house; in fact, it complements the heritage building next door.

The scope of this project was to complete renovate this office building located in Oakville. The Client wanted to modernize the space with a bold and elegant interior design. The renovations will happen throughout with special attention to the reception area and main accessible washroom located at the entrance lobby. The old stair case will be re-cladded with stain steel and a new glass raining will be introduced to make the stair case the focal point of the main entrance. The washroom is being completely guttered and new finishes and architectural elements introduced for striking first impression.

Contemporary re-build and addition to an existing side split house in Burlington. We used a combination of stone and architectural wood looking cement panels as accent to “break” the stucco walls. The elongated canopy ties in the 3 car garage to the house and gives it a striking horizontal line.

Custom home in Oakville. This design captures the style of this Oakville neighborhood with elegance and proportion. The 2nd floor is “tucked” in behind the main roof so that the building height appears to be lower but this house has actually 10ft ceiling on the main floor and 9ft ceiling on the second floor. The house sits on a two level lot which was incorporated into the design to maximize the potential of the topography and landscaping. The interior was also well detailed, in line with the style and quality of design of the house.
